At Parkland School District in eastern Pennsylvania, Technology Coordinator JR Renna is helping lead a hands-on approach to student storytelling. Under his guidance, students from fourth grade through high school are using Padcaster kits and iPads to create videos, share school news, and highlight daily life in their schools. The tools are intuitive and accessible, making it easy for students to take the lead and build real-world communication skills.

JR is also looking ahead to new iPadOS 18 features, especially live translation capabilities. With more than 30 languages spoken across the district, this update will allow video announcements and school messages to reach every family in their preferred language—helping build a stronger connection between school and home.
