Sophia Elacqua is an amateur vlogger and avid adventure seeker. Padcaster accompanied her on her most recent project to the 46th annual Adirondack Hot Air Balloon Festival in Warren County New York. Not only did she capture incredible footage from the ground, but she also got aerial shots from 1,500 feet above! Read below for a first-hand account of what the experience was like and how Padcaster helped her achieve her goals.
I’m always on the lookout for unique experiences and new adventures. When I heard about the Adirondack Hot Air Balloon Festival, I knew I had to go and film it. The festival has been around for almost 50 years and is entirely run by volunteers. It was such an amazing feeling being 1,500 ft in the air! I’m so glad I brought my Verse with me because it was so portable, maneuverable and helped me record clear audio. I never would have been able to carry a cumbersome, heavy camera with me on the balloon. I’m so excited to share my experience of flying through the skies of New York with all my followers! I can’t thank the Adirondack Hot Air Balloon Festival enough for letting me come out and film and for putting on such an awesome FREE four-day event for around 150,000 people. I can’t wait to come back next year!
